Reuniting after 23 years!

Last week, I attended a mini get-together of my Elementary classmates held in a fast food chain. That day was full of fun and laughter as we reminisce the old days. It's good to see them again after 23 years of graduating, and knowing their whereabouts right now makes me feel proud of our batch. We also talked about our teachers which most of them did retire already. Hopefully, we could let them join when we organize a bigger event next year. This would also enable those who are working and living outside the country to attend. Those years are long that even a year of chatting is still not enough for us to catch up with what happened in between.
Before, organizing a school gathering could really make you sweat because it is being spread usually by just a word-of-mouth. More so, you need to do house-to-house just to inform them you’re organizing an event. But today, as we are on the Computer Age already, organizing an event was made easy for us through getting an account on Social Networking Sites like Facebook! Almost all kinds of people now do have an account in one or more sites that I’ve mentioned. These sites helped us to stay connected with our old friends, classmates, relatives and anyone we know.
Ours begin on being friends in Facebook but I’m hopeful that this first meeting would pave a way for building more relationships to gain friends outside the internet. Almost all of us are still looking forward to seeing each other again in a much longer time, along with those who were not able to attend the first meeting.
